The Cirqual® Burner

The patented Cirqual® burner is a very important part of the ATmaP® process. It allows the ATmaP® process to generate the required flame-chemistry, which provides the surface modification to the molecular structure of the material being treated.

An internal mix spray gun is located in the center of the Cirqual® burner. Use of the compact, lightweight, aluminum, Cirqual® burner has proven to reduce cycle times and provide a higher consistent quality of surface treatment. The Cirqual® burner can traverse at speeds of up to 1400 mm/second with coverage of up to 200 mm per pass. Combine this with a reduction in energy costs against conventional surface treating systems, and you are truly achieving savings through innovation.

The Cirqual® burner offers a radical three-dimensional ‘mushroom’ flame shape, three inches in diameter, allowing greater coverage of the surface of a component with a single pass.

Intricate surface geometry is also overcome both through the flame shape and the unique ability to ‘modify’ the flame shape without compromising the quality of the air/gas mixture and quality of flame. The ‘mushroom’ shape spreads upon contact, conforming to contours and wrapping around edges/parting lines to provide a reliable and consistent surface treatment.
